The VIN Edition of the CRS is an enhanced version of the Standard Full Edition. With the VIN Edition, the correct vehicle model can be selected using the vehicle’s identification number (VIN). As a feature it is also possible to scan the VIN number barcode with a (cordless) barcode scanner or iPad so that the manual entry drops out. This barcode can be found in the edge of the windshield, on the door frame or the door itself.

  • This edition includes all features of the Standard Full Edition
  • Easy selection of the vehicle by entering the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
  • The VIN Edition offers interactive graphics showing locations and deactivation procedures of safety components and alternative propulsion (hybrids)
  • Monthly online updates

When you order online your CRS license, your unique code will be emailed to you within 48 hours of your purchase. We will use the email provided on your order confirmation. If you would like us to send the unique code to a different email, please indicate it in the notes section.

  • 1 to 9 licenses: $395 each

How does it work?

The solution: the Crash Recovery System to know what's inside!

Using this vehicle information system at the scene of an accident, emergency responders can easily access all rescue relevant information about the vehicle. Moditech Rescue Solutions B.V. offers first responders the missing link in emergency response: digital vehicle information available on all mobile computer platforms like Windows, iOS and Android.

When a vehicle is selected, an interactive and model-specific top- and side view graphic is displayed on the screen. In the interactive datasheet all relative components and safety systems are clickable for more information, such as:

  • Airbags
  • Stored gas inflators (location: head airbags)
  • Belt pretensioners
  • Reinforcements
  • Rollbar-security
  • Battery
  • SRS control units
  • Crash sensors
  • Seat Occupancy Sensor
  • Fuel tank
  • Special truck and bus components, such as the suspension of the chassis or the seat adjustment
  • Alternative propulsion, such as fuel cells, battery pack, fuel tank and associated deactivation procedures

In the graphic display, component information and deactivation procedures for hybrid vehicles are easily accessible by clicking on the component of choice in the diagram. With this unique functionality, the Crash Recovery System® ensures an effective and safe extrication process and supports first responders in choosing the best and safest methods.

The CRS has been developed to be used on 'touchscreen' computers directly at the scene of the accident and therefore has a very easy to use user interface with big buttons. It can of course also be used on normal desktop or notebook computers that meet the system requirements.

IMPORTANT: The Windows Desktop application does not support a BAR code scanner using the camera of the device directly. The customer could use the build-in Panasonic barcode software or copy & paste the code into the VIN input field of the CRS.
