Description

For both work at height and rescue, access from above is preferable because it allows one to take advantage of the force of gravity. Descenders are designed to regulate friction and control the descent on a fixed rope. They allow a worker to position himself at any point on the rope. Some descenders can also be used to safely belay a leader using rock climbing techniques.

Self-braking descender for single rope

• Self-braking system operates when the handle is released.
• The rate of descent is controlled by varying the grip on the free end of the rope.
• Rope climbing is possible without changing the position of the STOP by adding a foot loop and a handled rope clamp / grab.
• Spring clip allows the rope to be inserted without removing the STOP from the harness.
• Replaceable cam and friction bobbin.
