Description
Lakeline was designed for light marine applications and for use in  water rescue throw bags. It has a polyester sheath and polypropylene core.  The polyester adds strength and abrasion resistance and protects the core from harmful UV rays, extending the life of the rope. We use polyester instead of nylon since it maintains its strength when wet, while nylon gets weaker by 10-15%. Yellow Lakeline is stronger and more durable than economy polyprolylene water rescue ropes. Lakeline is bright for high visibility. Not intended for rappelling due to the low melting point of polypropylene.
